Your email belongs to you.

If you join the Empyrean pre-release reader list, the site stores the email address you provide to give you excerpt access and to send information about complimentary audiobook access, pre-orders, the book’s launch, and exclusive events such as book signings.

Your address will not be sold or added to an unrelated mailing list. You may unsubscribe or request removal at any time by emailing ron@ronaldwchapman.com.

Reader, event, and media inquiries

If you send a book-club, event, or media inquiry, the site stores the name, email address, organization, and message you provide so the author can respond. That information is not added automatically to the Empyrean reader list.

Site measurement

The site records limited first-party activity—such as page views, excerpt-button clicks, audio plays, retailer visits, and Substack visits—to understand which material helps readers. It uses a random session identifier and may record referral and campaign labels. It does not store IP addresses, advertising identifiers, or browsing activity from other websites.

Substack and retailers

Links to Substack, Amazon, Audible, Apple Books, Google Books, and Goodreads open those services, which apply their own privacy practices. Joining the Empyrean reader list does not subscribe you to Substack, and subscribing on Substack does not join the Empyrean list.
